As the 'Beast from the East' and Storm Emma cause havoc around us I'm sure the furthest thing from your mind is sailing and being anywhere near the sea or volunteering! It might be cold, snowy and windy outside but the heating's on and the tea is warm! It is this time in the year that Vicky and I work to try and promote our upcoming adventures and the snow isn't helping! (if nothing else we just want to make bigger and better snowmen!)

After a massively successful ASPIRE360 Round Britain sail and 2017 season we're now looking forward to an even better 2018 and it's time to start promoting our exciting sailing calendar. Vicky and I run the Project in between working on other jobs and keeping all the plates spinning and in the air is sometimes a challenge. Morvargh is a volunteer led organisation and its our amazing volunteers (and the young people we sail with) who make the project what it is today and keep us focused and driven.

To that end we're looking for some shore-based volunteers who may be able to help us with promoting voyages and fundraising. We are constantly inspired by our own volunteers and would love to find some shore-based volunteers who can help take Morvargh to the next level.

Can you spare just 5hrs a week?
Do you want to make a real difference?
Volunteering from the comfort of your own home that fits in with your lifestyle?

We're looking for two volunteers; one who can help with promoting our voyages to youth groups, schools, and youth workers and another to help with fundraising and grant applications.

The roles are massively flexible and we're hoping will make a real difference to the Project. The loose plan is that we'd aim to meet locally once a month (or via Skype if you're further away or snowed in!) and chat where we are & what we're trying to achieve. You'd then be able to set your own priorities and work from home as it suited.

The volunteering would suit a self motivated, inspiring individual (ideally with experience in sales, marketing or fundraising). You'd be calling/emailing schools and speaking to people.

We'd love to hear from you or someone you know and can't wait to carry on inspiring and changing lives through sail training!

Email us at hello@sailadventure.co.uk for a chat.

Fair winds (wrap up warm)

Matt
