During Expedition Netherlands, we will have the chance to visit various fascinating ports with unique charm and significance. From the maritime heritage of Cowes to the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, young people will be immersed in history and natural beauty. We’ll explore the coastal delights of Ostende in Belgium and the maritime history of Vlissingen/Middelburg in the Netherlands. We’ll meander through picturesque canals and historic architecture in Dordrecht and witness modern innovation in Europe's largest port city, Rotterdam. Once in Rotterdam, we’ll visit places like the iconic Markthal!

We continue our expedition further inland to Gouda, known for its world-famous cheese market, and then on to Amsterdam, the vibrant capital of the Netherlands, where history and culture blend seamlessly. We plan to visit the Anne Frank House and the NEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam! Moving on, we’ll explore the historic Muiderslot Castle in Muiden, experience the charm of Medemblik on the Ijsselmeer, and enjoy the beauty of Makkum in Friesland.

The Friesian Islands are next, with our inland journey ending with a sail to Texel, an island known for its stunning landscapes and wildlife. We join the North Sea and start offshore sailing with a sail to Scheveningen, a Dutch seaside resort, and discover the coastal village of Breskens on the southern edge of the Netherlands before ending our European adventure in Calais, France, before finally crossing the Channel to the UK via Southampton, Salcombe and back to Fowey.

Expedition Netherlands is not just a sailing expedition; it's a transformative experience. Our voyages empower young people to build self-confidence, self-esteem, and crucial communication and leadership skills. Through teamwork, they'll discover the power of cooperation and gain insights into essential subjects like engineering, history, oceanography, ecology, geography, and mathematics.

We firmly believe that sailing provides unparalleled life lessons. As participants connect sailing with real-life challenges, these character traits develop organically, becoming ingrained in their personalities. These character "skills" are highly sought after by employers, making Expedition Netherlands an adventure and an investment in a young person's future.

Don't miss this opportunity to embark on a journey that will profoundly shape your child's life. Whether an experienced sailor or a complete novice, Expedition Netherlands is a chance for young people to discover the world, themselves, and the boundless potential within they have.
