Not Required Passport
£210 Voyage Fee

Join us aboard Helen Mary R for a weekend of sailing, swimming, and exploring! We'll sail to the fantastic Fal Estuary over two 25-mile short coastal hops. The estuary, also known as the Carrick Roads, is the third-largest natural harbour in the world. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience sailing in a fun and exciting way. Two short 6hr coastal passages with plenty of opportunities to stop, swim, spot wildlife and generally explore the coast between Fowey and Falmouth.

You'll join the boat on Friday evening and get to know the rest of the crew before all sharing duties to make dinner. After a hearty breakfast, we'll set sail towards Falmouth and, if the weather permits, stop for a swim just off Portscatho.

Once we enter the Fal, we'll sail upriver, passing the waterside pontoon at Trelissick, passing through the very deep King Harry Passage, part of the ancient pilgrim's route to St Michael's Mount, on our way to way to the Truro river and a small pontoon where the river banks are wooded and home to peregrines and buzzards!

We'll get the opportunity to jump off the boom and go for another swim before a peaceful night tied alongside. In the morning, we retrace our steps and sail back down the Fal, and if weather, tide and times permit, we'll try for a short detour into the Helford before setting off homeward bound towards Fowey.
